How to Make This Throat Coat Hot Tea Toddy From Scratch

Making this tea toddy from scratch is super simple to do. It is just a case of steeping your tea, adding lemon, honey and a dash of brandy. Alternatively, you can use whatever tipple that takes your fancy. I would recommend using a dark liqueur such as dark rum, brandy or whiskey. And of course, you can omit the alcohol all together or use a non alcoholic tipple too.

  • 2 Traditional Medicinals Throat Coat Tea Bags

  • 2 Cups of Old Fashioned/Cloudy Lemonade

  • 2 Tablespoons of Honey

  • 1 Shot (2fl oz) of Brandy

METHOD

  • Firstly, in a small saucepan, warm through the lemonade. Add the honey and stir until it has completely dissolved.

  • Turn off the heat and add the tea bags.

  • Allow to infuse for 15 minutes with the lid on to lock in all that herbal goodness.

  • Remove the tea bags and serve with the brandy and lemon slices in mugs. Enjoy :)
