Making Black Forest Tea Lattes at Home

INGREDIENTS (Serves 2)

  • 2 Black Tea Bags (or 2-4 Heaped Teaspoons of Loose Leaf Tea)

  • 1/2 Cup of Dark Cherries (Fresh or Frozen)

  • 2 Tablespoons of Sugar/Honey/Agave - Optional

  • 2 Cups (16fl oz) of Milk (Regular or Plant Based)

  • 1/2 Cup of Extra Dark Chocolate

  • 4 Tablespoons of Cream (Regular or Plant)

  • Whipped Cream to Serve (Regular or Plant)

  • Grated Chocolate or Cacao Powder to Sprinkle - Optional

  • 2 Shots of Kirsh/Cherry Liqueur - Optional

METHOD

  • Firstly, warm your milk and add your tea. Allow to steep for 5-10 minutes before removing the tea leaves/tea bags.

  • Add your pitted dark cherries, optional sweetener, chocolate and cream. Place back on a low heat and keep stirring for around 5 minutes until the cherries are soft.

  • Combine with a blender and pour into cups or mugs.

  • Add kirsh if using, top with whipped cream and dust with chocolate.
